Validation & Engineering Group, Inc. (V&EG) a Pinnaql company is a leading services supplier who provides solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food, and Medical Devices industries in the following areas: Laboratory, Compliance, Computer, Engineering, Project Management, Validation, and other services.

We are seeking a Validation Metrology Specialist to provide field and instrumentation support for qualification and periodic-monitoring activities. The position will coordinate calibrated instruments, prepare thermocouples and recorders, operate wireless data loggers, and ensure traceability of validation equipment and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the inventory and availability of validation instruments, sensors, recorders, data loggers, and supporting materials.
• Verify calibration status, identification, range, accuracy, and traceability before equipment use.
• Coordinate or execute calibration activities required to support validation studies.
• Prepare, label, install, troubleshoot, and remove thermocouples and other temperature sensors.
• Configure and operate temperature recorders and wireless data-logging systems.
• Support thermal mapping and periodic monitoring of autoclaves, isolators, and controlled-temperature systems.
• Download, organize, and transfer electronic data for technical review.
• Maintain equipment-use logs, calibration certificates, checkout records, and inventory documentation.
• Identify and report instrument malfunctions, out-of-tolerance conditions, missing equipment, or data-collection issues.
• Coordinate instrument maintenance or repair.
• Follow applicable cGMP, safety, PPE, contamination-control, and documentation requirements.
• Support evening, weekend, holiday, or extended-hour execution when required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Metrology, or a related technical area.
• Three or more years of metrology, calibration, thermal mapping, qualification, or pharmaceutical field-execution experience.
• Hands-on experience with thermocouples, temperature recorders, wireless data loggers, and calibration documentation.
• Ability to read technical procedures, execute approved test instructions, and document activities accurately.
• Experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment is strongly preferred.
